Gelling Fibre Technology

Available in both standard and antibacterial silver versions, our chitosan-based gelling fibre technology transforms in the presence of exudate to form a soft, conformable gel with superior absorbency compared to standard alginate dressings. The gel forms an intimate contact layer with the wound bed creating an ideal moist healing environment and offers superior wet integrity, which facilitates easy removal from the wound site

Chitosan-based gelling fibres bind matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) and control minor bleeding making them ideal for donor sites. The addition of ionic silver provides a broad-spectrum antibacterial activity to minimise the risk of wound infection. A range of sizes, including a ribbon format, are available.
