Medtrade partners with Dahlhausen® Medizintechnik to reach maternity units across Germany and Austria

Medtrade Products Ltd is delighted to announce that it has entered into an exclusive agreement with Dahlhausen® Medizintechnik to distribute the revolutionary CELOX™ PPH Uterine Haemostatic Tamponade throughout Austria and Germany. CELOX PPH offers a unique, CE-certified solution for uterine postpartum haemorrhage (PPH), and Dahlhausen Medizintechnik’s extensive network will help more clinicians to access this vital solution to help manage postpartum bleeding.
PPH is a severe and prevalent complication of childbirth, and is the leading cause of maternal mortality worldwide, affecting approximately 14 million women and causing 80,000 deaths each year. Existing treatment options are limited, so CELOX PPH was designed to be easily and rapidly deployed in any setting, without the need for power, suction, saline or specific storage conditions. As documented in numerous peer-reviewed publications, the tamponade works quickly to provide effective haemostasis – demonstrating 100 % haemostasis for grade 1 and 2 bleeding (up to 2,500 ml) in all deliveries, and 95.6 % haemostasis for up to grade 3 bleeding (8,000 ml) in vaginal deliveries – while also reducing hysterectomy rates by 78 % compared to the current treatment options.
